1 Day Introduction in Uganda’s Wildlife with Africa Adventure Safaris

Day 1
Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to Entebbe to the botanical garden that was established in 1902. It is an attractive place with a mix of indigenous forest, cultivation and horticulture, and a destination attractive to birds making the place highly attractive for bird watchers. This place will offer you an introduction to Uganda birds ranging from Lake Victoria specials such as Yellow throated love leaf , grey kestrel, slender billed weaver and the Jackson’s golden-backed weaver to the more wide spread but non- the less striking black-headed gonolek, red chested sunbird, grey-caped warbler and common wattle eye. You can be confident to also see the vervet, black and white colobus monkeys as well as tree squirrels.

Have a lunch picnic in the botanical gardens and then proceed to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) formerly known as the Zoo established as a sanctuary for animals which would not be able to fend for themselves in the wild. Here you will able to see lions, black rhinos and a variety of small predators that are seldom seen in the wild.

Dinner and overnight at Entebbe resort beach /Speke hotel / Hotel Africana.
