8 Days Big Five of Uganda Safari

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe
On arrival our tour guide will meet you at the airport. He will transfer you to Kampala. Dinner and overnight at your Speke Hotel or similar other

Day 2: Kampala - Bwindi
Transfer to Bwindi by road arriving in the evening. There is also an option of chartering a plane to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Engagi Lodge / Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 3: Gorilla trekking
Spend this day on gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Engagi Lodge / Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 4: Searching for the “Big Five”
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth via Ishasha in search of tree-climbing lions. Along the way to Mweya Safari Lodge you will not miss seeing buffaloes and elephants. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/ Simba Safari Lodge

Day 5: Wildlife tour in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Undertake an early morning game drive in search of the early risers including predators such as side-striped jackals, leopards, lions, etc. In the afternoon, a launch cruise along the Kazinga will reward you with abundant wildlife including some members of the “Big 5” such as buffaloes, hippos and elephants at the banks of the channel. For birders, this channel acts as a trap for migratory birds and Albertine Rift Endemics. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/ Simba Safari Lodge

Day 6: Game drive in QENP
In the morning enjoy more game drives following the Kasenyi Track in QENP. After lunch transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Primates Lodge/ Chimps Nest

Day 7: Chimp Trekking in Kibale Forest national park
In the morning transfer to Kibale Park headquarters at Kanyanchu for briefing from the park rangers and later begin the chimp trek. In the afternoon return to Kampala.
