10 Days Wildlife and Gorilla tour.
Day One: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
In the morning after breakfast you will drive south west through Nakasongorwa Masindi to reach the park in the afternoon. On reaching the park you will hike to the top of the falls to see how the calm Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge through which it explodes into the falls. After you will transfer to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Sambiya River lodge /Red chili Camp.
Day Two: Game drive / Boat ride
In the morning before dawn you will go for a game drive through the park searching for predators and other game. The drive will reward you with game like Hyenas, Leopards, elephants, hartebeests, Oribis, Uganda Kobs, giraffes to mention. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile that takes you to the bottom of the falls. The ride will reward you with game like Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and plenty of birds like the Kingfishers.
Day Three: Drive to Kibale.
Early in the morning you will have breakfast and then drive off to Kibale National park. The drive takes you about 8 hours to reach Fort portal in the afternoon. You will then transfer to your lodge to check in and then go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. The walk will reward you with primates like Bush babies and colobus monkeys and other species both fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Mountains of the moon / Primates lodge.
Day Four; Chimpanzee tracking / Drive Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In the morning you will have breakfast and then transfer to Kibale NP Headquarters. You will be briefed about the whole process and tracking and then you will head along the tracks in the forest to search for chimpanzees. The walk through the park will be guided providing information about not only on chimpanzees but also on flora and fauna. You will then meet the chimpanzees and spend sometime watching them feed and making theirs calls. If you are lucky to find then hunting this is the best time, as you watch them share the meat amongst themselves. After tracking you will then drive Queen Elizabeth National Park to reach in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Institute of ecology.
Day Five: Game drive / Boat ride of Kazinga channel.
Wake up before sunrise to a cup of tea or a glass of water and then set off to the park tracks for a game drive to be able to see predators as they retune to their hide outs and the early risers. During the drive watch out for game like the Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for heavy breakfast and then later have lunch to transfer to the Park headquarters for the Boat ride. The launch that takes you along the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward will reward you with game like Hippos, elephants and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting plenty of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Hostel.
Day Six: Chimpanzee tracking / Drive to Bwindi.
In the morning you will have breakfast and then drive to the Kyambura gorge to go track chimpanzee. The walk will reward you with other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, and other game. After tracking you will drive through the Ishasha sector to head to Bwindi impenetrable National Park. The drive will reward you with a game drive enroute to view animals like the tree climbing Lions, Uganda Kobs to mention. You will reach the par in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day Seven; Tracking Gorillas
In the morning you will have heavy breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then later on at 9:00 am you will set off along the tracks in the thick forest to go search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community.
Day Eight: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast you will drive towards Mbarara district to Lake Mburo National Park. This calls for an early start to reach Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon. You will reach the park to drive and check in your lodge and then go for a walk in the Rwonyo area. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented Camp/ Rwonyo Rest Camp.
Day Nine: Game drive / Canoe ride.
In the morning after breakfast you will go for a game drive in the park to search for predators and other animal species like the hyenas, leopards, jackals, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, Topis and eland to mention. After the game drive you will return to the Lodge for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a canoe ride on Lake Mburo to view water game. Expect swamps of hippos, crocodiles, and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting the birds. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp / Rwonyo Rest Camp.
Day Ten; Drive to Kampala.
Have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala. You will have a game drive enroute to proceed and stop at the equator for photographs. You will reach Kampala in the evening.
