9 Days Wildlife tour, Uganda Wildlife Safari Tours
Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
In the morning after breakfast you will drive south west through Nakasongora Masindi accessing the park in the afternoon. Hike to the top of the falls to see how the calm Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge as it explodes into the falls. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Sambiya River lodge /Red chili Camp (FB)
Day 2: Game drive / Boat ride
In the morning before dawn you will go for a game drive through the park searching for predators and other game. The drive will reward you with game like Hyenas, Leopards, elephants, hartebeests, Oribis, Uganda Kobs, giraffes to mention. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile that takes you to the bottom of the falls. The ride will reward you with game like Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and plenty of birds like the Kingfishers.
Day 3: Drive to Kibale.
Early in the morning you will have breakfast and then drive off to Kibale National park. The drive takes you about 8 hours to reach Fort portal in the afternoon. You will then transfer to your lodge to check in and then go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. The walk will reward you with primates like Bush babies and colobus monkeys and other species both fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Mountains of the moon / Primates lodge
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking / Drive Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Undertake chimp tracking in Kibale Forest national park and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Institute of Ecology (FB)
Day 5: Game drive / Boat ride of Kazinga channel
Undertake an early morning game drive following the most wildlife congested tracks in search for predators and the early risers as they retun to their hide outs. Expect to see Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others. After lunch go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward whose concentrations of wildlife including a variety of both endemic and migratory birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Institute of Ecology (FB)
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking / Drive to Bwindi.
You will track habituated chimps in Kyambura Gorge. After lunch drive through Ishasha - the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth in search of tree-climbing lions. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Homestead / Buhoma Community Bandas (FB)
Day 7: Tracking Gorillas in Bwindi
In the morning you will have heavy breakfast and with packed lunchl transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then later on at 9:00 am start tracking the mountain gorillas. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk, though strenous, meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and breathtaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Day 8: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. This calls for an early start to reach Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon. After checking in, enjoy an evening guided nature walk in the park. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented Camp/ Rwonyo Rest Camp (FB)
Day 9: Game drive / Canoe ride.
In the morning after breakfast you will go for a game drive in the park to search for predators and other animal species like the hyenas, leopards, jackals, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, Topis and eland to mention. After the game drive you will return to the Lodge for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon undertake a canoe ride on Lake Mburo to view aquatic wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp / Rwonyo Rest Camp (FB)
Day 9: Drive to Kampala.
After breakfast drive back to Kampala.
