Day 1
Early in the morning after breakfast leave Kampala for Murchison falls to drive through the famous Luwero Triangle and Budongo forest on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley. The journey offers beautiful sceneries and game which you can photograph while traveling. You then reach the top of the wonderful falls where the Nile perfects its beauty-here the wide, languid Nile is transformed into explosive foam of thunderous white water and funnel through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpments. It offers the most inspiring sight of its type in East Africa. Have picnic lunch at the top of the falls and then cross the Nile with a ferry before you take arrest at the comfortable and well serviced Paraa Safari Lodge for Dinner and the night.
Day 2
After breakfast you will be transferred to the northern part of the park for a game drive to search for Elephants, lions, Buffaloes Bushbucks and a variety of bird species. Have lunch and then embark on a launch trip on the Nile to the sub structure where the might falls escapes from the narrow gorge into the calm Nile. The launch provides an opportunity to see crocodiles, Hippos and water birds along the river banks. Retire to the Lodge for dinner and a night.
Day 3
In the morning take breakfast and drive to Kibale national park towards fort portal. You will pass through lush countryside and homesteads. Fort portal is situated amidst lush rolling hillsides swathed in the neat tree plantations and clouds offering excellent sceneries across to the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains. You can take photographs of these beautiful sceneries enroute. Have lunch and then go for community walks (its optional) to be entertained by the local people in the area. Dinner and a night at Ndali Safari lodge or the tree house at Kanyankyu ecological centre.
Day 4
Early in the morning after breakfast, move into the forest for a forest walk to search for chimpanzees. The activity starts at 8:00 AM. It is a day search for chimpanzees and other primates such as the colobuses, phoetus, blue red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys rolling from tree to tree in the dense forest. Watch out also, for birds, butterflies and many insects. You will be provided with detailed explanations on both Flora and fauna to ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk enables you view birdlife and primates in close quarters. Have lunch and then pay a visit to Bigodi swamp ecotourism site that is astounding. You will also encounter rare beautiful flora and fauna. Dinner and a night at Ndali lodge/ the tree house at Kanyankyu ecological centre
Day 5
After break fast drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. Watch out for game en route. Have Lunch as you prepare for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel to Lake Edward. The boat ride offers you an opportunity to view Hippopotamus, buffaloes and a variety of bird species both residents and non residents. Have dinner and spend the night at Mweya Safari lodge.
Day 6
Early in the morning after a cup of tea, go for a game drive to catch up with the early risers and predators returning to their hide outs. Look out for Elephants, buffaloes, leopards, Lions and birds. Retire to the lodge for breakfast, lunch and then you will be transferred to Maramagambo forest for a nature walk. Watch out for chimpanzee, red-tailed and L’Hoest monkey, potto, giant forest hogs, duikers and giant elephant shrew. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 7
In the morning after breakfast drive off to Bwindi national park through the Ishasha sector for game en route. Watch out for game like colobus monkey, Uganda Kobs, topi, and variety of birds such as black bee-eater, broad-billed roller enroute. You can also identify tree climbing Lions but these are dependant on the climate. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kitandara tent/ Buhoma community bandas.
Day 8
Very early in the morning have breakfast and then you will be briefed by the guide about gorilla tracking. The activity takes about 2- 8 hours depending on the movement of these humble giants. The activity is strenuous but the experience of viewing the great apes play, feed and interact is worth the struggle. Dinner and a
night at Lake Kitandara tent/ Buhoma community bandas.
Day 9
After breakfast drive to Lake Mburo National park to watch out for game like impala, buffaloes, warthogs and bushbuck, and birds. Have lunch and then embark on a boat ride on the Lake to where you will sight a variety of water birds like the mosque swallow, by black-bellied bustard, bare-faced go-away and hippopotamus.
Have Dinner and spend the night at Rwonyo Camp.
Day 10
Early in the morning after breakfast go for a game ride through the park before you head to Kampala to view more game. Have a stop at the Equator for photographs. Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at Speke Hotel and Hotel Africana.
