Gorilla Safari &Chimpanzee Tours
Day 1: Visiting Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary
After breakfast transfer to Entebbe Botanical Beach for a speed boat to transfer you to Ngamba Island. The Island is under the management of the Jane Goodall Institute. Arrive early enough to watch the chimps while feeding. After spending an hour with the chimps transfer back to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Entebbe Botanical Beach Hotel / Central Inn (FB)
Day 2: Entebbe Bwindi Gorilla Park
Take an early morning breakfast and transfer by road to Bwindi in South-western Uganda. The journey may take you 9 hours. You may have your lunch en route in Mbarara. Along the way the Ankole long-horned cattle and the impalas (antelopes) are seen as you traverse Lake Mburo national park. Upon your arrival in Bwindi you will visit the Batwa community (the animist Pygmies) for a cultural performance. Dinner and overnight at the Gorilla Resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community Bandas
Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Tracking Tour - Gorilla Safari
After an early morning breakfast transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing before setting off for the gorilla trek at 9.00 am. The gorilla trekking is strenuous but the most rewarding activity ever in an African tour. You are allowed to spend an hour in the presence of the mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Homestead
Day 4: End of Gorilla Tour
After a morning breakfast return to Kampala via Ishasha where tree-climbing lions can be seen in the baobab tree branches. Get your lunch en route in Mbarara and arrive in Kampala in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana / Serena hotel
