Gorilla Trekking Safari - 7 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari

Day 1: Kampala City Tour
Upon arrival at the airport, our tour representative will welcome and transfer you to a hotel in Kampala. In the evening you will be taken around the city to various attractive places and later return to hotel for your dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Very early in the morning transfer westwards to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge before undertaking a nature walk to the Munyaga River for butterflies viewing and birding. Visit the pygmy community for a cultural dance and handicrafts before retiring to the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Take a heavy early morning breakfast and move to the Buhoma park headquarters for a briefing before undertaking gorilla trekking at 8.30 am local time. The Bwindi impenetrable forest is the best place for trekking gorillas in the world. The forest harbours other mammals including various monkey primates, buffaloes, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks and various bird species. Encountering the mountain gorillas in the forest is one of the most exciting moments for any visitor to Africa. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp / Lake Kitandara Tented Camp

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda
After break fast, traverse the Kigezi highlands commonly referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Arrive in the evening in Ruhengeri ready for gorilla trekking in the morning the next day. Overnight at mountain Gorilla Nest or Kinigi Guest House - FB

Day 5: Gorilla Trek in Volcano National Park
Take a morning breakfast and move to the park headquarters for briefing before undertaking gorilla trekking at 9.00 am. Trekking the gorillas in the Volcano National Park is one of the most exciting activities in Rwanda. Overnight at mountain Gorilla Nest or Kinigi Guest House - FB

Day 6: Lake Mburo National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer back to Uganda and arrive in Lake Mburo national park in the afternoon. Undertake a game drive in the park in search for savannah wildlife. Take a boat cruise on Lake Mburo for aquatic wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp - FB

Day 7: End of the Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda & Rwanda
Take a light breakfast and transfer to Kampala. Stop-over in Masaka for a heavy breakfast at Hotel Brovad before proceeding to Kampala where you will arrive in the evening. Depending on your flight schedule, you may be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or stay another overnight in either Entebbe or Kampala.
