This Wildlife Tour targets the Southern National Parks of Tanzania including Selous, Ruaha and Mikumi national parks. All transfers are by road. So our client on this safari will spend 8 nights or 9 days and we guarantee the best experience that will always click on your memory.
Day 1: Our safari representative will transfer you from Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve. Arrive early enough for your lunch at Rufigi River Camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the Selous Game Reserve. Dinner and an overnight at Rufigi River Camp (FB)
Day 2: Undertake a game drive in the Game Reserve in search of the southern Reedbuck, rare sable antelope, waterbucks, Greater kudu and bushbucks. Dinner and an overnight at Rufigi River Camp (FB)
Day 3: Undertake a guided walking safari in Selous Game Reserve. The “thrill” of creeping up to take photographs of the marauding animals is a great experience. In the afternoon enjoy a boat safari expecting to see hippos, giraffes, elephants, crocodiles; and large varieties of herons, ducks, storks, stilts, and other water birds. Dinner and an overnight at Rufigi River Camp (FB)
Day 4: Enjoy a full day game drive in Selous Game Reserve. Dinner and an overnight at Rufigi River Camp (FB)
Day 5: With a picnic lunch transfer to Mikumi national park. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp
Day 6: Take your breakfast and transfer to Ruaha national park. Residents of this park include sable and roan antelope and big herds of elephants. Ruaha national park shares the overlapping transition zone of Eastern and southern African flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge – FB
Day 7: Undertake a full day game drive in the park. At the banks of River Ruaha expect to see hippos, crocodiles, impala, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, giraffes, Grant’s Gazelle, ostrich, cheetah, lions, leopards, hunting dog, etc. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge
Day 8: After an early morning breakfast, go for another game drive to Mikumi national park. The park is famous for its huge population of elephants, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, wildebeest, elands, zebras, tree-climbing lions, wild hunting dogs, black-backed jackals, monitor lizards and yellow baboons among others. Lunch at Vuma Hill Tented Camp and resume a game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp
Day 9: After breakfast enjoy a morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. After lunch return to Dar es Salaam for your flight back to your home country.
