Enjoy game viewing tours in some of the prime Tanzania national parks. Multitudes of wildlife inhabit Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi and Serengeti national parks; and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Depart from Arusha to Tarangire national park. Dinner and overnight at the Camp
Day 2: Enjoy a game drive in Tarangire national park. Inhabitants of this park include Lesser Kudu, gerenuk, tree-climbing lions, eland, and a variety of birds. Dinner and overnight at the Camp
Day 3: Take breakfast and transfer to Lake Manyara. Enjoy lunch at Kirurumu Tented Lodge and later embark on an afternoon game drive in search of tree-climbing lions, hippos, monkeys, flamingoes and a variety of birds. Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Lodge
Day 4: With a picnic lunch transfer to Lake Eyasi, the 50 km long mild soda lake whose forested shores are a home to monkeys, leopards, hippos and a variety of birds among others. The Rift Valley escarpments give Lake Eyasi excellent beauty and an ideal destination for relaxation. Dinner and an overnight at the camp
Day 5: Take a community walk to the Datoga pastoralists and members of the Hadzabe tribe, one of the two remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania. About 1500 families still remain in this tribe. After lunch at the camp transfer to Karatu. Dinner and an overnight at Kifaru Lodge
Day 6: transfer to Serengeti national park with picnic lunch. Undertake an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of Serengeti. Encounter herds of wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, and a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and an overnight in the tents in the Serengeti
Day 7 & 8: Dedicate two days to game viewing in Serengeti plains. Dinner and an overnight in the tents in the Serengeti
Day 9: After breakfast transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route Olduvai Gorge, remembered after Louis and Mary Leakey’s archeological discoveries about ancestral remains of early man. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge - FB
Day 10: Descend into the 2000 feet floor of the crater and explore the forest area in search of elephants, monkeys, lions and flamingoes plus a variety of birds.Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge - FB
Day 11: After breakfast transfer back to Arusha for your flight back to your home country.
