Ssese Island Beach Hotel.
This smart under utilised new hotel consist of a string of white cottages running along a sandy, forest-fringed beach on Lutoboka bay, roughly 2km from Kalangala Town and 15 mins’ walk up the beach from the ferry landing. Game fishing and other boat excursions can be arranged along with guided forest walks and bird watching trips. Facilities include a swimming beach, pool table, beach volleyball, a bar with DSTV, and a restaurant serving reasonable meals. Accommodation is in self contained cottages with solar lighting and running hot water, and a rather bare dormitory, set on a hill some distance from the beach, a less alluring prospect. Camping

Pearl Gardens Beach
It is a new facility a few meters from the ferry. Its beachfront cottages lack much character but compared with other options in this category on the same beach are affordably priced. A bar/reception at the top of the site provides DSTV and free internet for residents.

Panorama Lodge
Situated in a forest clearing500m inland from the ferry landing this friendly lodge locks a beachfront location, but has an attractive garden setting and a forest backdrop. Clean and spacious self contained chalets with solar lighting (hot water supplied on request) are good value. A bar and restaurant is provided.
