2 Days Gorilla Tracking Rwanda
Gorilla tracking in Rwanda is carried out in Volcanoes national park
Rwanda is not only popular for mountain gorilla trekking safaris, but also one of Africas premier primates tracking destinations. Rwanda has 13 Primates species in Nyungwe forest, they include large troops of Chimps and Rwenzori Colobus monkeys ranging between 400-500 individuals. Other primates species include Adolf Friedrich's Angola Colobus, L'Hoest's Monkey, Silver Monkey, Golden Monkeys, Hamlyn's monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, Dent's Mona, Vervet monkeys, Olive Baboon and the Grey-cheeked Mangabey.
This uniquely rich center of floral diversity (Nyungwe forest) also has more than 200 different tree species, and a myriad of flowering plants including the otherworldly giant lobelia and a host of colorful orchids. It is also a home to 86 mammal species, 280 species of bird and beautiful butterflies.
Africa Adventure Safaris invites you to meet these gentle giants, in their natural habitat, the verdant jungle and misty mountains of Rwanda. Primates trekking can be combined with gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park, wildlife safaris in Akagera National park and other tours to Uganda and Burundi.
