Rwanda Gorilla Tour - 4 Days Gorilla Safari & Lake Kivu safari

Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda
Upon your arrival at Kigali airport our tour representative will welcome you and transfer you to Ruhengeri. This is a 2 hour drive through scenic north-western part of Rwanda. Depending on the time of arrival you may enjoy a community walk. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Take an early morning breakfast and transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing from the park authority before beginning to trek the gorillas on the Virunga ranges. Parc National des Volcans is the best place into trek mountain gorillas in Africa with relatively minimum effort. This 13000 hectare national park protects the Rwanda sector of the Virunga Mountains, a range of six extinct and three active volcanoes, which straddle the border with Uganda and Congo. Gorilla trekking is the moving wildlife experience. Encountering these awesome apes may range between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of these primates in the natural environment. Return to the lodge for your late lunch. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House

Day 3: Volcanoes to Gisenyi
Take a drive from the Volcanoes Park to Gisenyi. Gisenyi, at the northern shore of Lake Kivu, is a truly tropical place with swaying palm trees, a lake-side boulevard and lies less than an hour's drive from the Parc National des Volcanes. It stands on a sandy beach lined with swaying palms and colonial-era hotels that portray an atmosphere of tropical languor. Gisenyi is suitable for water activities. You can enjoy a boat ride to the islands or even across into Goma, pay a visit to Gishamwana Island with its coffee plantation, picnic and campsites or go swimming along the sandy beaches, boat riding and sun bathing. Day 4: Gisenyi to Kigali
You may undertake a tour of Kigali city before arranging to take a flight back to your home.
