Situated in the western arm of the Great Rift Valley, Queen Elizabeth National park together with Kyambura and Kigezi wildlife reserve form one of the most diverse eco-system in Africa. It is primarily associated with open savannah, a dense cover of acacia and eurphobia trees however it also embraces large areas of swamps around Lake George, Maramagambo forest and at least ten crater lakes covering a distance of 1,978 sq. km.

The park is a home for over 95 mammal species, 20 predators including the famous tree climbing lions - ten primate species including chimpanzees, vervet, blue and red tailed monkeys and antelope species including Kobs, topi, Defassa waterbucks, not forgetting the semi-aquatic sitatunga antelopes. The park is blessed with over 600 bird species making it attractive for bird watchers. These include 11 types of King Fishers, several species of eagles, falcons, black bee eaters and many more. A launch trip on the Kazinga channel between Lakes George and Edward enables you have a favorite view of the wildlife.

Day One
Wake up early morning at 7:00 am and drive towards the west from Kampala. Stop over at Mpabire drum makers and the equator for photographs.  Go on to Queen Elizabeth National Park overlooking the Rwenzori mountain ranges and some craters along the road. Along the way, you will be rewarded with scenes of Hyenas, Leopards, Elephants, Lions and a diversity of antelopes.  After lunch, go for site seeing in the crater lakes region expecting spectacular views. Visit the Katwe salt works for a quick glance of how salt is traditionallymined. Have dinner and an overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Campsite/Hostel or Budget Institute of ecology (BLD).

Day Two
Wake up early in the morning for a game drive to view animals such as Cape buffaloes, Giant Forest Hogs, Leopards, Buffaloes, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Topi, Bushbucks and the King of the Jungle( the Lion). Consequent to lunch, go for launch trip for 2-hours on the Kazinga channel and into Lake Edward which will enable you to view Hippos, Buffaloes, Kobs, and  crocodiles along the water edges surrounded by migrant and resident birds - making the boat cruise an impressive journey for bird watchers with over 550 resident species. After the long and active day have dinner an spend a night at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Budget Institute of ecology (BLD).

Day Three
Early in the morning after a cup of coffee/tea, move towards the Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking, en route you will have a view of varieties of animals such as lions, elephants, hippos and leopards and primates. After the tracking, head to Kampala and lunch en route in one of the major towns
