NB: In Kibale Forest, chimpanzee tracking can be substituted with a chimpanzee habituation experience, an experience where you follow the chimps all day within the forest.
Day 1:Kampala - Kibale Forest
Upon your arrival our tour guide will transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Safari Lodge/ Rwenzori View Guest House FB
Day 2: Apes Trekking in Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale Forest national park is rich in apes. 13 species of apes have been recorded, the highest total for any Ugandan national park. The 9 diurnal apes found in Kibale Forest include chimpanzees, red-tailed, vervet, LHoests and the blue monkeys, red colobus, grey-cheeked mangabeys, black-and-white colobus and olive baboons. Kibale Forest Area is the last Ugandan stronghold of the red colobus although small numbers do exist in Semuliki National Park. Kibale forest and swamp walks can lead you to five or six primates. Other animals present in the park include forest elephants, buffaloes, Genet, civet, Uganda Kob, bushbuck and waterbuck.
Kibale Forest boasts of 335 bird species recorded, including four species not recorded in any other national park: Cassins spinetail, Nahans Francolin, blue-headed bee-eater, and masked Apalis. You can go birding in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge - FB
Day 3: Wildlife Tour in QENP
After a morning breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. After your lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge drive to Kasyoha Kitomi Forest Reserve for chimpanzee trekking. Kasyoha Kitomi Forest, a community eco-tourism site, lies south-east of Queen Elizabeth national park supporting a similar range of forest species to the Maramagambo Forest, including a significant population of chimpanzees. This forest is one of the most bio-diverse forest habitats in Uganda, harboring a wide range of medium- and high altitude species including five species recorded nowhere else in Uganda. Alternatively you may visit the Chambura Gorge whose chimpanzees are more habituated to human presence.
Return to the lodge for your lunch and utilize the afternoon for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel for viewing the aquatic animals and birds at the banks of the channel. Return to the lodge for massage at Mweya Health Club or swimming in the lodges magnificent pool. Day 4: Game drive in QENP
After a morning breakfast embark on a game drive following the northern circuit which passes through the kob breeding grounds on Lake Edward Flats and is rated the most productive for lion sightings. In the extensive swamp across the road, birdwatchers should look out for compact weaver, black Coucal, fan-tailed weaver and if you are lucky, the shoebill.
In the afternoon, after lunch at the lodge, drive through the Ishasha Sector for tree climbing lions and arrive in Bwindi in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Volcanoes Bwindi Camp (luxury)/Buhoma Homestead (mid-range)/Buhoma Community Bandas & Campsite (Budget) - FB
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking - Bwindi
Take an early breakfast and with packed lunch walk to the nearby park headquarters for briefing from the park ranger before embarking on gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park. This gorilla tour to Bwindi is the highlight of the Uganda apes tour. Encountering these awesome apes is overwhelming. You are allowed to spend an hour with them taking photographs and playing with them. In case you finish the gorilla trek in time you can dedicate the evening to a community walk to the pygmy community for a cultural performance. Day 6: Bwindi - Lake Mburo national park
After breakfast embark on a 9 hour to Lake Mburo national park with lunch en route at Mbarara Western Restaurant. Arrive in Mburo national park in the early evening and embark on a game drive.

Day 7: Wildlife tour in Lake Mburo National Park
Take your breakfast and undertake a game drive in search of savanna related mammals. Expect to see buffaloes, hippos, bushbucks, elands, waterbucks, zebras, spotted hyenas and baboons. For birders, Lake Mburo boasts of 315 bird species recorded. Key species include Brown-chested plover, African finfoot, Southern Ground Hornbill, White-winged warbler, Papyrus Yellow warbler, Spot-flanked, Red-faced and Black-collared Barbets, Carruthers Cisticola, Yellow-billed Oxpecker and Northern Brown-throated Weaver. Return to the Camp for lunch.
In the afternoon game for a guided nature walk for game viewing. Visit the Salt-lick Area where many animals converge to lick this salty soil. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp/Rwonyo Camp
Day 8: Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary located 23 km in Lake Victoria off Entebbe mainland. This island, commonly referred to as the Chimp Island is becoming a popular day excursion for tourists staying in either Kampala or Entebbe. More than 20 chimps stay in a small island covered with a lush rainforest. You can view the chimps at feeding times (11.00 am and 3.00pm local time) at very close range. Return to Kampala for a city tour in the evening. Some of places you need to visit in the city include Namugongo Martyrs Shrines, the magnificent Bahai Temple, Kasubi Heritage Site, and the Uganda Museum among others.
Day 9: Reserved for your flight back to your home country
Our company representative will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
