15 DAYS MEGA SAFARI WITH AFRICA ADVENTURE SAFARIS


Day 1: ARRIVAL IN UGANDA
Your will arrive at Entebbe international Airport, to meet our Tour Company representative who will pick you from the airport and transfer you to your proposed accommodation in Kampala. Depending on the time of arrival, if you arrive in the morning its advisable to change your money in Uganda shillings for Use in your Safari. After checking in your Hotel make urban trips to some of Kampala’s historical sites with the help of our driver/ guide. This can be done in places like; Kasubi Tombs, Museums and craft shops, Wamala tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, and Bahai Temple. Have dinner and spend a night Speke Hotel Kampala / Hotel Africana or similar standing.

Day 2: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast transfer to Murchison falls from Kampala,and have a lunch stop-over in Masindi at any Hotel of your choice and then proceed to the marvelous falls. Drive to the top of the falls to view the Nile as it plungs down with a thunderous and deafening roar in a narrow gorge - 150 metres down. The 'bat cliff' immediately south of the main waterfall (visible from the viewpoint on the saddle) is worth scanning with binoculars for raptors and swallows. 

Proceed to the Luxurious Paraa Lodge/Mid range Sambiya River lodge /Basic Red chillis camp for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning take a cup of coffee and set off for a half-day game drive on the northern Bank of the Nile River. Game in this park include: Elephant, Lions, Jackson's Hartebeest, Rothschild Giraffe, Waterbucks and a variety of Savannah woodland birds. Consequent to lunch, embark on a launch cruise to view aquatic game at close proximity. It will be sole encounter with a school of hippos and crocodiles, among other animals.

Have dinner and  spend the night at Luxurious Paraa Lodge /Mid range Sambiya River lodge /Basic Red chillis camp .

Day 4: MURCHISON FALLS - FORT PORTAL
Leave Murchison Falls early in the morning after an early breakfast towards Fort Portal, the area where Semliki & Kibale Forest National Parks are situated. The drive is approximately 8 hours. After this long journey take a rest , late  lunch, dinner and an overnight at Luxurious Ndali Lodge/Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/Basic Kanyankyu ecological site park headquarters.

Day 5: FORT PORTAL - SEMLIKI - FORTPORTAL
Early in the morning after breakfast, proceed to the crown and hot springs. Then proceed to the pygmy villages located near Ituri Rainforest for an interesting cultural experience. Have lunch picnic which the guide will have packed for you while you experience the factual Africa.  Drive back to Fort portal later in the afternoon to arrive in the evening. Then dine and spend the night at the Luxurious Ndali Lodge/Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/Basic Kanyankyu ecological site at the park headquarters.

Day 6: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning have breakfast and proceed to Kibale Forest National Park- commonly known and accepted for  its excellent diversity of and massive primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in exploration of the Hot springs, wild chimpanzees, black white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, butterflies of different species and many others. Have a luncheon and then go to the Crater Lake region to view the various Crater Lakes. Relax as you watch a traditionally talented group dance. Dine and spend  the night at Luxurious Ndali Lodge/Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/basic Kanyankyu ecological site at park headquarters.

Day 7: KIBALE - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK:
After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy a morning game drive in search of the wild game ending up at the shores of great lakes of Edward and George. Look forward to see animals such as Buffaloes, hyenas, warthogs, hippos, pythons and Kobs. Proceed to the Institute of Ecology and take your accommodation at Mweya safari lodge. Have lunch buffet at Tembo restaurant and embark on a launch cruise along the base of Kazinga channel to view a herds of hippos, and others such crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes at a distance. The ride is excellent for bird watchers with a variety of species and even the rare shoebill.  Dine at Tembo Restaurant and spend a night at Luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge or Basic Institute of Ecology.

Day 8: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK:
Have an early breakfast at Mweya safari lodge and take a walk to the ground of the Uganda Kob. Watch animals such as elephants, lions, as well as buffaloes in their natural habitat before returning for lunch.   Visit the bat cave and hunters' cave where we take a close look at the bats, rock python and forest cobras in the Maramagambo forest. The same walk will provide a chance of seeing birds, primates, tree species etc.

Dinner and overnight at Luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana safari lodge/Lake Kitandara camp or Basic Institute of Ecology .

Day 9: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI:

After an early breakfast drive through the savannah grassland and then cross an awesome gorge of tropical rainforest that is 100 meters deep.  Hike into the Kyambura gorge for an exciting experience of chimpanzee tracking. The spectacular river valley, a home of many birds and butterfly species are worth the visit. Return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a drive to Bwindi. Arrive dinner at Luxury Gorilla Forest camp /Mid Range Lake Kitandara luxury tents / Buhoma Homestead or basic at Buhoma Community Bandas for a dinner and an overnight.

Day 10: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Putting it into consideration that gorilla tracking is unpredictable, its hard to determine the duration the hike will take. However it ranges between 2- 8 hours. Gorilla tracking will be an amazing experience for the adventurers. One should be prepared to walk long distances in steep and muddy conditions at times with rain overhead before you encounter the gorillas. The excitement of seeing the gorillas makes it all worthwhile! You will be briefed on how to handle and behave with these gentle primates.

Spend an overnight at the Luxury Gorilla Forest camp /Mid Range Lake Kitandara luxury tents / Buhoma Homestead or basic at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 11: BWINDI - LAKE BUNYONYI
After breakfast a community nature walk to the pygmy community and the local liquor brewers is worth undertaking. After taking lunch at the lodge proceed to Lake Bunyonyi where you will reach in the evening.

Have dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland camp or Arcadia cottages.

Day 12: LAKE BUNYONYI
After the rigorous preceding day at Bwindi, most clients would require to have a rest on the peaceful shores of the lake. There are various activities tourists can get involved in. They can choose to go sun bathing, cycling, swimming, birding or even canoeing.

Dine and spend the night at Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi Overland camp.

Day 13: LAKE BUNYONYI - LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning, take a cup of coffee /Tea and then Head to Lake Mburo National Park which is a 4 hours drive. Go for a game drive to view the elephants, elands, impalas, buffaloes and zebras. Rest have lunch, dinner and overnight at Mantana luxury tented camp /Agip Motel in Mbarara.

Day 14: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK - KAMPALA - JINJA

Have breakfast and depart for Jinja via Kampalaty to the Source of the Nile River. Visit the Bujagali Falls and a number of fishing villages.

Dine and spend a night at Nile Resort Jinja or Hotel Triangle - all with water view.

Day 15: CITY TOUR AND DEPARTURE
After breakfast transfer to Kampala for a City tour and later shopping in the city craft shops. After lunch you will be transferred to the airport for a return flight back home.
