Safari itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kampala City - Uganda: If you arrive early you enjoy a city tour; stay at Speke Hotel or similar for an overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park - arrive at the top of the falls; Drive to the top of the falls to view the Nile as it plungs down with a thunderous and deafening roar in a narrow gorge - 150 metres down. The 'bat cliff' immediately south of the main waterfall (visible from the viewpoint on the saddle) is worth scanning with binoculars for raptors and swallows. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Enjoy a half day game drive on the northern Bank of the Nile River. In the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls; stay at Paraa Safari Lodge for an overnight.
Day 4: Transfer by road from Murchison to Fort portal for an overnight stay at Ndali Lodge/Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/Basic Kanyankyu ecological site at the park headquarters.
Day 5: Early morning transfer to Semuliki national park for a game drive & a cultural performance; stay at Ndali Safari Lodge for an overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale national park for chimp trekking. Stay at Ndali Lodge/Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/Basic Kanyankyu ecological site at the park headquarters
Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park: game drive and a boat cruise in the afternoon; Stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge for an overnight.
Day 8: Forest walk & game drive in QENP; Stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge for an overnight.
Day 9: Chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park; Stay Luxury Gorilla Forest camp /Mid Range Lake Kitandara luxury tents / Buhoma Homestead or basic at Buhoma Community Bandas for a dinner and an overnight.
Day 10: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national Park; stay at Luxury Gorilla Forest camp /Mid Range Lake Kitandara luxury tents / Buhoma Homestead or basic at Buhoma Community Bandas for a dinner and an overnight.
Day 11: Transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi via the Kigezi Highlands, commonly referred to as the Switzerland of Africa; Dine and spend the night at Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi Overland camp.
Day 12: Sun bathing, cycling, swimming, birding or even canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi; Dine and spend the night at Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi Overland camp.
Day 13: Transfer to lake Mburo national park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive or a boat cruise at Lake Mburo; stay at Mantana Tented Camp for your dinner and an overnight.
Day 14: Transfer to Kampala proceeding to Jinja for touring the Source of the Nile , the longest river in the world. Visit the Bujagali Falls for cultural entertainment; Dine and spend a night at Nile Resort Jinja or Hotel Triangle.
Day 15: Reserved for your flight back home.
Note that though the accommodation types differ, the activities in the package remain the same.
