Single Day Birding in Mabamba wetland and Mpanga Forest.
Day 1
Early in the morning after breakfast drive to Mabamba village to go birding in the wetland where by you will have an early morning dugout canoe ride to search for waterbirds at the shore. Watch out for birds enroute. Here expect to see birds like grey headed gull, the rare shoe bill, Yellow billed egret, white winged terns, Madagascar bee-eater, long toed plover, papyrus Gonolek, great white pelicans, Malachite and pied Kingfishers, Hottentot Teal, Common Squacco, Carruther’s cisticola and many more. In the afternoon you will drive to Mpanga forest to search for forest birds like Snowy Headed Robin-chat, Fire crested Alethe, Grey parrot, Toro Olive Greenbul, Grey–headed Negrofinch, African Pied hornbills, Sooty Boubou, White chinned prinia and many more.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana/ Sheraton Hotel.
