Kibale Forest National Park is highly alluring to nature lovers of all budgets for its excellent chimpanzee tracking and birding tours in Uganda. The park has the greatest concentration of primates of any forest in East Africa.

At least 60 mammal species are resident in Kibale Forest national park including 13 primate species, the highest total for any Ugandan national park. Roughly 335 bird species are also present including 4 species recorded nowhere else in Ugandan national parks: these birds include Nahan's Francolin, Cassin's Spinetail, Masked Apalis and blue-headed bee-eater.
