5 Days Safari in Nakuru Masai Mara Safari

Day 1: Nairobi-Lake Nakuru
At 08:00 hours, depart from Nairobi southwards along the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the avian paradise. Preferably carry a picnic lunch with you. Commit the afternoon to birding and game viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge

Day 2: Lake Nakuru/ Lake Baringo
After breakfast transfer from Lake Nakuru to Lake Baringo en route stopping over near Lake Bogoria for viewing the hot springs and geysers. Flamingos are an attractive phenomenon in this place. Later proceed to Lake Baringo for its excellent birding - where over 450 bird species have been recorded. A boat cruise over the lake in the afternoon will enable you to view some of the lake inhabitants including hippos and birds. Thence return to Nakuru for dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 3: Nakuru - Mara
After breakfast leave for Masai Mara. The Mara, as it is fondly referred to by most blas travellers, is the magnet that attracts most tourists to Kenya. The astonishing wildlife density in the Mara can be compared to none in Kenya. Of the big cats lions are found in big prides everywhere, cheetahs and leopards, though elusive, are also common. Of the antelopes, Thomsons and Grants gazelles are found in huge numbers, while impalas, hartebeests, topis, and wildebeests, Masaai giraffes, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, and matriarchal clans of spotted hyenas are some of the commonest residents in the Mara. About 37 black rhinos live in this park. Spend the afternoon game viewing in the park. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 4: Masai Mara - The Big Five Safaris
Spend the whole day game viewing in the Masai Mara with a community walk to the Masaai tribe for traditional entertainment Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 5: Mara-Nairobi
After a morning game return to Nairobi for your flight back to your home country.
