Watered by the Mara River and its tributary, the Talek, the park covers 1510 sq km of open grassland tacked away in the southwestern corner of the country. Wherever you carry out a game drive in the Mara you will see an astonishing population of wildlife. Of the big cats, lions exist in large prides everywhere. Cheetahs and leopards are not easy to spot but are still fairly common. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are overwhelmingly so many. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge (FB)
