Uganda Primate Safari and Trekking Tour|Gorilla Tours|Chimpanzee Tracking safaris
Primate Tour - 5 days.
Day 1:
After an early morning breakfast transfer to Kibale National Park. Drive west via Mityana to Fort Portal as you pass through a lush countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. The journey offers panoramic view of the “Mountains of the Moon,” Reaching in the afternoon you will go for a walk in the surrounding community.
Overnight at the Tree House / Kanyankyu ecological centre (Budget) or Ndali Safari Lodge (Luxury)
Day 2:
After breakfast go for chimpanzee tracking in the forest. This trek will take you about 3 and half hours. Expect other primates such as Mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobuses, pottos and many more. In the afternoon transfer to Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk as you enjoy viewing the rich fauna and flora. The swamp is also known to be a birders' paradise offering variety of bird species.
Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Mantana luxury camp.
Day 3:
Early in the morning head to Kisoro via Queen Elizabeth National park. A game drive through this park with a high concentration of wildlife is highly rewarding. Arrive in Kisoro in the evening.
Have a dinner and an Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel (Full Board)
Day 4:
After an early morning breakfast go and trek Nyakagyezi Gorilla group in Mgahinga National Park. Tracking gorillas is a strenous activity but worth the dollars spent in a lifetime.Observing these giant primates play, feed can send a cold chill run up one's spine!
Overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel Kisoro
Day 5:
After the Sbreakfast start your journey to Kampala. As you travel through the Kigezi Highlands - the terrain that has earned this area a name, "The Switzerland of Africa", the contours on these magnificent hills, the panoramic view of the Mgahinga ranges in the horizon, make you admire God's creation.
Lunch en route at Mbarara Lake View Hotel. Arrive in Kampala before 5.00 p.m. local time.
Have a dinner and an overnight at Sheraton Hotel / Hotel Africana.
