Day 1: Kampala - Ngamba Chimp Island
Early in the morning, transfer to Ngamba Island for chimpanzee tracking. The island is a sanctuary to orphaned chimpanzees that are under the management of Jane Goodall Institute. It contains about 30 chimps. You will arrive in time for their feeding so that you can view these apes feed and then go for a forest walk in the afternoon with the young chimps. Have a welcome dinner at the Island and spend the night there.
Day 2: Entebbe - Kibale Forest National Park
Early in the morning you will sail back to Entebbe and travel to Kibale forest National Park. Arrive in the evening and undertake a nocturnal walk in the park. Expect to see animals like the galagos, Bush babies, pottos and many more. Overnight at Mountains of the Moon/Chimp Nest Lodge
Day 3: Chimp trekking in Kibale Forest
Very early in the morning go for chimpanzee tracking in the forest. The forest is known to harbour about 10 primate species. Therefore expect to see primates such as monkeys, Mangabeys and many more. In the afternoon you will go for a walk in Bigodi swamp to watch out for stunning flora and fauna. Overnight at Mountains of the Moon/Chimp Nest Lodge
Day 4: Kibale - QENP
After the breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. In the afternoon embark on a forest walk to the Bat cave. The numerous bats and the python that prey on the make this a big spectacle. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge/ Hippo Hill Camp (Full Board)
Day 5: Game drive & Boat cruise
Very early in the morning, after breakfast enjoy a game drive following some of the well-graded tracks to major concentration points of mammals in Queen Elizabeth national park. Return to the lodge foryour lunch and in the afternoon embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The 3 hours spent on this water Channel are greatly rewarding. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge/ Hippo Hill Camp (Full Board)
Day 6: Game drive in Ishasha
After breakfast transfer to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park expecting to see tree-climbing lions. These lions after feasting on the numerous antelopes, begin to climb the fig trees at around 10.00am when the sunshine is beginning to intesify. In the afternoon, after enjoying packed lunch, proceed to Bwindi. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp /Lake Kitandara Bwindi Camp /Buhoma Community Rest Camp
Day 7: Bwindi - Rwanda
After breakfast transfer to Rwanda traversing the famous "Switzerland of Africa, arriving in the afternoon in Ruhengeri - Rwanda. Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge / Kingi Guest House
Day 8: Gorilla trekking in the PNV
Spend this day trekking the mountain gorillas in the Volcanoes, a legacy of Dian Fossey - the famous primatologist who lived in the Virungas for over a decade. Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge / Kingi Guest House
Day 9: Return to Kampala
Drive back to Kampala very early in the morning. You will have a lunch en route in Mbarara and arrive in Kampala in late evening. Dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel / Speke Hotel/ The Lodge
