10 Days Uganda - Rwanda Gorilla Tour
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
You will arrive at Entebbe International Air port to meet our tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel. Depending on the time of arrival you may visit some places in the Capital city. Places to visit include the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, Bahai Temple, Namugongo martyrs shrine, the cathedral and many more. Dinner and overnight at Golf Course Hotel / The Lodge
Day 2: Kampala - Queen Elizabeth national park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park via the Rwenzori mountain ranges and some craters along the road. Watch out for the wildlife enroute as you rush for lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge. In the afternoon take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel as you watch wildlife like hippos, buffaloes and plenty of bird species (residents and migrants). Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Hippo Hill Camp
Day 3: Chimp Trekking in Chambura Gorge
At 7.00 am have a forest walk in maramagambo for elusive mammals like chimpanzees, red tailed and LHoest Monkeys, pottos, and many more. Return to the Safari Lodge for your lunch. At 2.00 pm proceed to Kyambura gorge for more chimps tracking.Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Hippo Hill Camp
Day 4: QENP - Bwindi
After breakfast transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Bwindi is home to 326 gorillas, almost a half of the worlds population of mountain gorillas. There are also 346 species of birds and over 200 species of butterflies. This afro-montane forest has dense undergrowth of fern , vines and shrubs. About 324 tree species have been recorded here, 10 of which occur nowhere else in Uganda. You will reach in the afternoon to go for a community walk in the afternoon, where you will be entertained with some of the Batwa cultural dances in Uganda. Overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma community Rest Camp
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast go for briefing at the park headquarters before you embark on gorilla tracking at 8:00 am. The time you will spend searching for these humble primates is unpredictable but is dependent upon the movement of the gorillas. It ranges between 2 - 9 hours. The search is tedious but the experience attained in watching these apes feed, play and interact wipes away the poor memories.Overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma community Rest Camp
Day 6: Bwindi - Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast traverse the panoramic Kigezi highlands, commonly referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa". Sail by a boat to the Island for community walk. The Pygmies will be ready to entertain you. Overnight at Arcadia Cottages
Day 7: Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast embark on a boat cruise as you explore much of Lake Bunyonyi. After lunch transfer to Ruhengeri in Rwanda. Overnight at Gorilla nest Lodge / Virunga Lodge
Day 8 : Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast go for gorilla trekking in Parc National Des Volcano (PVN) through the green forested slopes of Virungas. Spend part of the day tracking the awesome mountain gorillas. Overnight at Gorilla Nest Hotel / Virunga Lodge.
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
After breakfast transfer to Mbarara arriving early enough for lunch at Lake View Hotel. Spend an overnight here.
Day 10: Lake Mburo national park
Spend half of the day in Lake Mburo national park enjoy a nature walk and a game drive. Later drive to Kampala arriving in the evening.
