UGANDA FOREST WALKS|MPANGA FOREST WALK

DAY 1
Early in the morning after breakfast drive along Masaka road to Mpanga forest for a forest walk.  Located 36 km from Kampala the reserve protects an extensive patch of medium altitude rain-forest, harbouring diverse fauna and flora species, worth sighting. You will be able to observe the red-tailed monkeys, bush pigs, bushbucks, flying squirrels. Expect to also observe birds such as the blue breasted kingfisher, black and white casqued hornbill, African pied hornbill, African grey parrot, and the great blue turaco among the more striking and conspicuous of the 180-plus bird species recorded. The forest is also noted for it’s abundant butterflies you will find wherever you walk.
Have a lunch picnic in the forest and then proceed with the forest walk before embarking on the journey back to Kampala. Dinner and over night at Hotel Africana, Speke Hotel.
