Detailed Itinerary
7 Days Uganda Flying Safari - Gorillas, Wildlife Tour, Gorilla Safari
Day 1: Kajjansi Airstrip - Kasese
Early in the morning after breakfast transfer to Kajansi airstrip or Entebbe airport for a chartered flight to Kasese, where you will meet a company guide to drive you to the Lodge. Have lunch and go for a walk in the crater lakes region. Dinner and overnight Ndali Lodge/ Mantana Kibale (FB).
Day 2: Chimp Trek in Kibale Forest national park
Early in the morning move to the forest to track the noisy chimps and other primates oscillating through the forest from one tree to another. You will have a lunch picnic in the forest and then proceed for a walk around the Bigodi wetland/ swamp to see a variety of animals and rare flora . Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge (FB)
Day 3: Rwenzori Mountains national park Safari
After breakfast have a walk in the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains, one of the greatest mountain ranges of the world, to look out for its spectacular peaks in a distance and later proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will reach in the afternoon to have a game drive in either the Kasenyi plains or the Mweya peninsula to look out for game like bush bucks, elephants, giant forest hogs, warthogs, bush pigs and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana Lodge(FB)
Day 4: Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth national park
Early in the morning track chimps in the Kyambura gorge. Although rarely visited by tourists, Kyambura gorge is a habitat to plenty of chimps and other primates. The walk is enchanting and interesting. Retire from the walk to have lunch at the lodge and prepare for a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. The boat trip will reward you with animals like Hippos, buffaloes and bird both residents and migrants. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana Lodge (FB).
Day 5: QENP to Bwindi Gorilla Forest
After breakfast drive through the Ishasha sector to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. You will check out for tree climbing Lions enroute. You will reach Buhoma in the afternoon to go for a walk in the neighboring community and be entertained in some of the cultural dances . Dinner and overnight gorilla forest camp / Buhoma community bandas (FB)
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest national park
After breakfast, go for a full day gorilla tracking in the park. The activity takes about 2- 8 hours or more depending on the movement of these humble primates on that particular day. The activity is strenuous but seeing Gorilla play, feed and interact snds a cold chill run up your spine! Dinner and over night at Gorilla Forest Camp- executive and luxury/ Buhoma Community bandas
Day 7: A Flight back to Entebbe
Have breakfast and undartake a nature walk in the forest and then transfer to Kayonza airstrip for your charter flight back to Entebbe.
