Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a 3 day tour that includes gorilla tracking in the dense tropical rainforest. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home of mountain gorillas. It is estimated half of the world’s surviving population of mountain gorillas –340 live within Bwindi boundaries. Bwindi National Park offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.

Detailed Itinerary
3 Days Bwindi Flying Safari - Gorilla Tracking Tour, Uganda Safaris
Day 1: Transfer to Kajansi Airstrip
After your breakfast you will be picked from your hotel to our home airstrip in Kanjasi. Alternatively be met on arrival at Entebbe Airport and be flown to Bwindi. Landing will be at Kayonza air strip some 20km away from Bwindi. Maximum flight time will take 1:50 hrs. At times where a big plane is used landing may be in Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth national park where you will be picked and be driven to Bwindi.
Fly over the countryside viewing the striking terraced hills of Kigezi commonly referred to as 'Switzerland of Africa' with nice scenery, Mafuga forest for viewing the Virunga Mountains of Congo and Rwanda. However this will depend on the weather of the day and the route to take.
Over night at Gorilla Forest Camp/Volcanoes gorilla safari lodge (luxury)or Gorilla resort camp for mid range.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast go gorilla. The hiking may take you not less than hour to come into contact with the gorillas depending on their movement at that particular day. The terrain is steep and hilly but with dense forest cover. The thrill of coming face to face with the gorillas will mark the highlight of your visit to Uganda. Spend one hour with gorillas watching their daily activities and playful manner.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp- luxury/Volcanoes gorilla safari lodge or Kitandara Tented Camp for midrange
Day3: Transfer to Kayonza Airstrip / Ishasha
After breakfast you will be driven to Kayonza airstrip or Ishasha for your flight to Entebbe airport.
