Day 1
Early in the morning after breakfast drive to Mabamba village to go birding in the wetland whereby you will have an early morning dugout canoe ride to search for waterbirds at the shore. Watch out for birds enroute. Here expect to see birds like grey- headed gull, the rare-shoe bill, Yellow-billed egret, white winged terns, Madagascar bee-eater, long toed plover, papyrus Gonolek, great white pelicans, Malachite and pied Kingfishers, Hottentot Teal, Common Squacco, Carruther’s cisticola and many more. In the afternoon you will drive to Mpanga forest to search for forest birds like Snowy Headed Robin-chat, Fire crested Alethe, Grey parrot, Toro Olive Greenbul, Grey –headed Negrofinch, African Pied hornbills, Sooty Boubou, etc.

Have a dinner and overnight at Serena luxury Hotel

Day 2
Early in the morning after breakfast, drive along Jinja road toward Mabira forest to go for aforest walk in search for birds. Mabira forest is the largest standing natural forest in central Uganda with over 300 species. The walk in the forest provides an opportunity to view birds like African grey parrot, great blue turaco, Weyn’s weaver Nahan’s francolin, pretty tit hylia, Leaf love and others. You will have a lunch picnic in the forest and proceed with birding. You will then transfer to Kampala for dinner and over night at Hotel Africana/ Sheratoin Hotel.
