Day Trip to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Have a close look up with chimpanzees at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, home to over 40 orphaned chimpanzees. Ngamba is a project of the Chimpanzees Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT), established in 1997 by the Born Free Foundation (UK), International Fund for Animal Welfare (USA), the Jane Goodall Institute (Germany and Uganda). Pre-arranged supplementary feeding times (11.00 am & 3.00 pm each day) bring the chimpanzees to within meters of the raised walkway specially designed for easy viewing and provide excellent photographic opportunities.

Outline Itinerary

Morning Trip - 9.00am - 1.00pm

Pick up from your hotel at 7.30 AM for a transfer to UWEC, Entebbe.

Transfer by speed boat to Ngamba Islands.

 

Afternnon Trip - 12.45pm - 5.00pm

Our tour guide will pick you at 11.00 AM from the hotel for a transfer to UWEC, Entebbe.

Transfer by speed boat to Ngamba Ilsands for the afternoon trip.

A Day Trip to Ngamba Islands

In the morning after breakfast drive off to Entebbe to be transferred to Ngamba Island that forms part of the Kome archipelago for Chimpanzee tracking. You will reach in time for feeding the chimps. Take photographs and then explore the island for monitor lizards, otters and variety of bird species.

Having finished exploring the island you will leave the island by speed boat. Our guide will pick you from Entebbe.
