5 Days Uganda Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari

Day 1: Ngamba Island Chimp Sanctuary
Early in the morning transfer to Entebbe and arrive in time for the morning boat ride to Ngamba Island - the Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Lake Victoria. It is a place where orphaned chimps have been relocated under the management of Jane Goodall Institute. You will arrive at the feeding time of these animals to be able to watch them. The sanctuary is currently a home of 35 chimpanzees. Watch these apes feed and later in the afternoon go for a walk on the Island to look out for other game. Dinner and overnight on the Island.

Day 2: Ngamba Island Chimp Walk
Early in the morning go for a forest walk with the young chimps and view other wildlife. In the afternoon embark on any activity of your choice, canoeing, building sand castles, fishing and others. You then transfer to Entebbe in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Imperial Botanical beach / Entebbe Central Inn

Day 3: Entebbe to Bwindi
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest through the lush country side and rolling hills in Kabale. You will arrive in the late afternoon to go for a walk in the communities around the forest. You will be entertained with some of the Batwa cultural dances to make the evening interesting. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma Community Rest Camp

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Go tracking gorillas in the forest after a briefing at the headquarters from the game ranger. The time taken trekking these apes is unpredictable but it ranges between 2 - 9 hours depending on the movement of these great apes. The activity is quite strenous but the experience you derive from observing these animals play, feed and interact erases the hustle you go through to find them. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma community Rest Camp

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
Dinner and overnight at Golf Course Hotel / The Lodge - Kampala
