Birding in Mabira Forest.
Day 1
Very early in the Morning after breakfast, you will be picked by our company representative to drive to Mabira forest-the largest in central Uganda.Mabira Forest extends over more than 300 sq.km straddling the Kampala - Jinja road about 20 km West of Jinja. It is composed of moist semi-deciduous forest, in which more than 200 tree species have been registered. The forest ranks as one of the most important ornithological sites in Uganda with more than 300 bird species recorded. You will drive along Jinja road to reach the forest and then go for a forest walk to search for birds. Watch out for species like the African grey parrot, great blue turaco, Weyn’s weaver Nahan’s francolin, wood-hoopoe, pretty tit hylia, Leaf love and many others.  After birding you will then be transferred back to Kampala to dine and spend the night at Hotel Africana /.Sheraton Hotel.
