3 Days Birding in Ssese Island
Day 1:
Early in the morning after breakfast drive along Masaka road heading to the Kabassese landing site. You will have a lunch stop-over in Masaka and then proceed to the landing site for a ferry which will transfer you to Bugala-Ssese Island.

Dinner and overnight at Pearl gardens / Mirembe resort.

Day 2
Early in the morning, after breakfast, go for nature walk on the island to search for birds. Water and forest birds are prolific. Therefore, in the morning you will search for forests birds and later in the afternoon search for water birds using canoes along the shores. Expect birds such as hornbills, turacos, barbets, flycatchers and weaverbirds. The common birds in the area include Jewel-like pygmy kingfisher, brown throated wattle eye, African fish eagles and Palmnut vultures.

Day 3
Early In the morning, after breakfast, you will then head to Kampala. Have lunch enroute and then proceed.

Dinner and Overnight at Hotel Africana /Sheraton Hotel.
