Full Day Mabira Birding Trip
This is a full day bird watching trip to Mabira Forest, the largest remaining tropical natural forest in Central Uganda, home to over 300 bird species
Sir Fredrick Jackson, former Governor of the Uganda Protectorate and a keen ornithologist, described Uganda as a “hidden Eden…and a wonderland for birds”. The Uganda’s phenomenal avian diversity motivates most birders to Africa to venture the vast plains and lush forests in Uganda where keen birders can ably identify at least 500 species just on a three week stay. No other area in Africa can match Uganda’s amazing diversity of habitats which are responsible for the ever-burgeoning bird list of over 1040 species. Amongst these are many special birds, such as the shoebill and the numerous splendid endemics of the Albertine Rift valley that can not be found elsewhere.
Below are the excellent packaged, all inclusive birding trips leading you to the most popular birding areas in Uganda. We also offer tailormade birding trips to Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya.
