12 Days Kenya Uganda Rwanda Safari

Day 1 Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport
Our safari guide will meet you on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you to your Hotel.

Day 2 The Great Rift Valley Trek
After breakfast, depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive down the escarpment (stopping en-route to view) past Lakes Naivasha and Elementaita to Lake Nakuru National Park on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch and thereafter, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this small game-concentrated Park returning to your lodge at dusk for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Maasai Mara Wildlife Tour
After breakfast, traverse the floor of the Great Rift Valley past the Maasai town of Narok to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve to many, the jewel and highlight of the safari expedition. After lunch at the hotel enjoy an afternoon game drive returning for dinner and Overnight to Keecorock Lodge / Mara Serena Lodge /Mara Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day 4 Maasai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a full days game drive in the Mara in the morning and in the afternoon up to the evening.
Full board and overnight at Keecorock Lodge/ Mara Serena Lodge or similar other (Full Board)

Day 5 Maasai Mara Nairobi-Entebbe
After a morning breakfast embark on a game drive in the Mara and end up driving back to Nairobi for your lunch in the city. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Entebbe. Find our tour representative waiting to transfer you to Golf Course Hotel / The Lodge or similar other

Day 6: Kampala Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast drive westwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is the home of the famous tree climbing lions as well as the Uganda kob, and other antelope's species, elephants, baboons, hippos, buffaloes and chimps and many more. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded, making the park a magnet for bird watchers. The bird species includes the black bee- eater, 11 types of king fisher, and several species of falcons, eagles and the raptors and many more.

After lunch, enjoy the launch cruise on Kazinga Channel for a plethora of bird life and a variety of mammals. In the afternoon move to the crater lakes region for a nature walk. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Hippo Hill Camp

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi

After breakfast transfer to Ishasha for viewing tree-climbing lions. From there traverse the scenic Kigezi highlands commonly referred to as "The Switzerland of Africa" to Lake Bunyonyi. Overnight at Arcadia Cottages.

Day 8: Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi to the Island for cultural entertainment by the Batwa (the Pygmies). After lunch cross over to Rwanda. Overnight at Mt. Gorilla Nest Lodge or Kinigi Guest House . FB

Day 9: Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park
After breakfast, spend part of the day tracking gorillas in the Volcanoes national park. In the afternoon transfer to Kigali city for a city tour. Overnight at Hotel Gorillas

Day 10 Akagera National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Akagera National Park located along the Tanzanian border of Rwanda. This park is famous for its herds of savanna wildlife including Burchell's Zebra, lions, elephants, topi, giraffes, impalas and over 425 species of birds including the shoe billed stock, African jacana, sacred ibis goliath heron. After game drives return to the hotel. Overnight at Akagera Safari Lodge

Day 11 Drive back to either to Kampala or Kigali depending on your flight bookings back to your home country.

Day12 Departure
Reserved for departure to your home country

Day 1 (Punakha / Wangdue)

In Punakha and Wangdue, we will be staying at Punatsangchu Resort or at Meri Phuensum

Thimphu Hotels

In Thimphu, your lodging will be either at Migmar, Jumolhari or River View. All the three hotels are of similar standards and feature updated modern rooms.

Paro ( Day 6, 7 & 8)

In Paro, the lodging for this trip is either Tenzinling Resort or Tashi Namgay but when they are filled, we will use Gangtey Palace or Joryanz.
